To comment or not? A data-driven look at developer attitudes toward code comments

Why watch

Veronica Hanus presents survey results from 170 developers (CS majors, bootcamp grads, hobbyists, and industry professionals) about their attitudes toward code comments. The talk explores common pain points, conflicting advice between DRY principles and useful comments, and provides guidance for developers at all levels on establishing effective commenting practices. This is valuable for programmers seeking data-backed insights into documentation habits.
