High-Performance gRPC Beyond HTTP/2 - Thiyagarajan Velappan & Ravi Cherukuru, Mastercard

Why watch

This advanced session from Mastercard engineers details how Gama implements high-performance gRPC in Go over raw Homa while supporting HTTP/2 and HTTP/3 on the same service port. It covers architecture decisions, transport internals, TLS design, and benchmarking patterns for both unary and streaming workloads, with real case studies on kernel and networking optimizations. Developers building low-latency distributed systems will learn practical guidance to evaluate and prototype alternative RPC transports without abandoning existing gRPC contracts.
